Hi. My name is Lego and I work at the Tree House. My job is to provide love and affection to all the children who come to visit us. Even though I am a grown up, I've added my baby picture so you can remember that we were all young once, and a helping hand in times of trouble is important to us all.
I am asking you to help us raise some money (whatever that is). It seems like the people at the Tree House need it. Everything we raise will go directly to the children who come to visit me, and provide them with a whole bunch of care that will make things better. Who knows, they might even buy some treats for the kids (and me).
So, c'mon dog lovers. Throw me a bone (I meant that literally). And while you're at it, help me reach my goal. I really want to do better than the people fund raisers. I will love you for it and it will do your heart good to be a part of something so special.
Every year hundreds of bicyclists and cookie lovers join together to participate in The Tree House Tour de Cookie. The ride is great fun and supports services critical to the community. All proceeds from the event go to The Tree House CAC. It is a joyful day of fun, festivities, and philanthropy.
The Tree House CAC of Montgomery County MD is dedicated to reducing trauma and promoting healing for child victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect. For more than twelve years, the Tree House has served as the only child advocacy organization in Montgomery County, Maryland, and in the past year alone has supported over 700 children in the search for hope and healing.
Our services include:
• comprehensive medical examinations
• mental health assessments
• ongoing mental health therapy for the child and non-offending family members
• victim advocacy
• forensic interviews
• nurse case management
• education & prevention
All of our services are free to victims and their non-offending family members.
